Brazil se izvukao iz velikog problema! Posle 180 minuta fudbala, bili su nadomak toga da i dalje nisu iskusili pobedu i da su bili pred samo dva osvojena boda u dva meča. Ipak, Filipe Kutinjo je na početku nadoknade vremena stigao u pravi čas da natrči i smesti loptu u mrežu i vrati Brazil u odličnu poziciju pred poslednje kolo grupe E.

O čemu se radi? Ovim trijumfom Brazila sa dva gola razlike, Karioke imaju bolji skor protiv Kostarike od Orlova (ubedljivija pobeda). To je važno jer ukoliko bi Srbija igrala 2:2 protiv Švajcarske, onda bi i bod protiv Brazila mogao da znači ispadanje glavnog favorita već u drugoj fazi. Švajcarska bi, naravno, morala da savlada Kostariku, čime bi u trouglu timova sa po pet bodova, Brazil za dlaku ispao sa Mundijala.

Ipak, kalkulacije na stranu, Srbiji je i dalje potrebna pobeda nad Švajcarskom. Brazil, sa druge strane, može da odahne jer nikoga nisu očarali u ovih 180 minuta finala.
